Whether you’re planning a small gathering of friends or a large company outing, The Broken Rack provides a unique and stimulating environment for entertaining. The Broken Rack boasts 19 beautiful hardwood pocket-billiard tables, a full-service bar, and a large cocktail area with smoking lounge. We provide great service, delicious food and beverages, and a warm comfortable atmosphere. Located at the Emeryville Public Market, The Broken Rack is just off I-80 at Powell St. The Broken Rack is a 21 and over establishment, guests must have I.D.
Table Rental: Smaller groups can take advantage of the Corner Pocket private room, which features a hardwood floor, leather couches and a custom-made pool table. Larger groups can rent sections of the club, as listed below. Rental rates are based on three-hour periods. Party reservations are generally not accepted for Friday and Saturday night.

Food for the Party: The staff at The Broken Rack will help you put together a delicious menu that fits your budget whether it’s for 10 people or 100. Our standard catering menu is below, but special requests are also possible. There is a $1.00 per person cake fee for those wishing to bring in special occasion cakes; other outside food is not permitted.

About the Bar: Hosts have many options regarding bar service: open or no-host bar, drink tickets, beer by pitchers or wine by the bottle. Special bottles of wine may be brought in; a $10 per bottle corkage fee applies.

Party with a Pro: Everyone can play and enjoy pool, but if you think some guests may need a little encouragement, you can hire our house pro, Lisa D’Atri, to help get things started. Lisa, a Billiards Congress of America-certified billiards instructor who plays on the Women’s Professional Billiards Association tour, can organize mini tournaments, team competition and/or provide instruction; plus her enthusiasm is contagious. Cost: $75 per hour, two hour minimum.
Fees & Policies: A gratuity of 18% will be added to all special event food and beverage charges. Upon confirmation of a party, we ask for a credit card number to be held in lieu of a deposit. Payment in full is due at the end of the party. Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance. Cancellations within less than 72 hours are subject to a cancellation fee equal to 35% of the pool rental and 50% of the catering order.
