The Broken Rack hosts a handicapped United States Pool Player Association (USPPA) 9-Ball tournament every Tuesday night. Sign-ups close at 7:30 p.m. and play starts at 8pm. The entry fee is $15 and players must be USPPA members ($20 per year membership dues). New members will be evaluated by tournament director Linda Silva and assigned a beginning handicap. Score sheet are turned in at the end of the evening and handicaps are updated weekly. Games played count toward qualification for USPPA regional events held in Reno each December and June see www.usppa.com for details.

IIn 2007/2008 The Broken Rack will host two seasons of BCA sanctioned team 8ball league play on Monday nights. The Summer/Fall season start ed play July 16 and will end Nov. 19. The significance of sanctioning by BCA Pool Leagues, is that teams and individual players can qualify for the BCA national 8-Ball championship to be held in May 2008 at Las Vegas. The Broken Rack league plays a 3 player/9 game match format using a 15 point handicap system. Match fees are $30 per team per week and go 100% to the prize fund. Each team can have up to 3 alternates. All players, including alternates, must pay a $10 BCA sanctioning fee.

The BCA National 8Ball Tournament, played in May of each year in Las Vegas, is played using a 5 player/25 game match format. To qualify for Vegas from The Broken Rack League, 3 of the 5 players on the Vegas team must have each played 8 weeks of on the same team in the same season of The Broken Rack League and the rest of the players (up to 5 alternates are allowed) must have played at least 8 weeks in The Broken Rack League during 07/08--any team, either season. Teams that register for the Las Vegas tournament from this league will be invited to compete for a special "Vegas Prize" donated by the Broken Rack.
